Decent Night for Jay Payne

      The JPR team had a good run going for most of the day. The car was fast in practice and in qualifying the 08 Machine took the pole by 0.209 seconds.
     Even in the race the car was fast. When the green flag dropped Jay took off and went from 4th to 1st position in about 2 laps. It wasn't too long until he was about a full straightaway ahead of 2nd place. However, 20 laps into the race the car took a turn for the worst when the front brakes basically gave up, causing the handling of the car to go bad and the lap times to slow down. The rest of the pack slowly creeped up and eventually he finished the race in 3rd.
